Methsuximide (Celontin)

Methsuximide (Celontin) is infrequently used. It can be effective in helping to control absence and partial seizures. Adverse effects include:

  • drowsiness
  • gastrointestinal problems (decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting)
  • unsteadiness
  • rash
