Dr. Judith Bluvstein is Assistant Professor of Neurology at New York University School of Medicine. She is currently Co-Director of the Pediatric Special Procedures in Epilepsy Services at NYU Langone Medical Center. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City and her Pediatric Neurology Fellowship and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center; Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She practices Pediatric Neurology and specializes in Pediatric Epilepsy. Her main professional areas of expertise are Epilepsy in the Child with Autism, Reflex Epilepsies, Neurometabolic disorders and seizures and Myoclonic Epilepsies. She is a published author in several book chapters on Pediatric Epilepsy. She has also been involved in multiple clinical research studies for a number of the currently available anitconvulsant agents. One of her main research interests resides in Clinical Research. She is currently an investigator for the Epilepsy Phenome Genome Project (EPGP) a study sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). The study aims to better understand the genetics of Epilepsy and how to identify which medications will work best for a given individual. She is a member of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, American Epilepsy Society and the Argentinean Child Neurology Society.
